10/31/2015: Happy Halloween!

There will be no Clinchfield Report today - everyone's pretty quiet, although Clinch has been very interested in our trick-or-treaters. Or it might be that the front door is being opened a lot more than usual.

In my other blog I've just posted about the Minion pumpkins my husband painted. Feel free to hop on over there to take a look.

Clinchfield is our very mischievous kitten. He gets into everything and has boundless energy. We named him after the Clinchfield Railroad, because my husband, Steve, is an avid model railroader. Other than Clinch, we also have Fe (named for the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway) and Pixel (named pre-Steve for Heinlein's "The Cat Who Walks Through Walls"). If you've come here because you've searched for the Clinchfield Railroad, I'm sorry to disappoint you. I hope you'll sit a spell and let Clinch's antics amuse you.

About the Report

I started posting about the crazy things Clinchfield got into on Facebook with photographic evidence whenever possible, because I wasn't sure our friends and family believed just how nuts this cat can get. I started prefacing each post with "Today's Clinchfield Report," and the likes and comments started pouring in. Clinch has become a favorite topic of conversation offline as well. I moved it to a blog so family not on Facebook can share in our woes, and so everything is all in one place.

Since I've started this about three months after we brought Clinch home, we'll need to do some catching up. I'll intersperse "Archived Reports" in with the current ones as time permits.
